The winter of 2009/2010 brought snow to virtually the whole of the UK, sometimes for prolonged periods of time. This photograph was taken during December of 2009, on a clear sunny morning after a night filled with heavy snowfall.
The sun was just starting to make it’s warm presence felt which helped to cast low, long shadows across the surface of the virgin white snow. Making certain tiny crystals of ice glisten in the cold air.
