An extreme close up image of a freshly fallen sycamore leaf. The image can’t help but illustrate the complexities of the object and it’s natural structure. The veins of the leaf remind of aerial photographs of whole townships, like motorways, roads and tracks crossing the land along an irregular coastline.

The photograph also shows the rich autumn colours across it’s surface which I think contrasts nicely with the grey cloudy backdrop of a typical autumn day.
