A warm evening walk out in to my local countryside, resulted in an interesting portrait shot of this old ancient ash tree that stands in Torpel Manor Field – once the site of an important medieval holding. The low sunlight seemed to light up the tree in a warm orange glow, illustrating each and every twisted branch.
The site is now owned by the Langdyke Countryside Trust, and it’s an important area for many types of wildlife.
